Mage Recruitment is CLOSED.  If you think you are a truly awesome mage, in full T9, legendaries, and the Skull of Neltharion, feel free to apply. Otherwise... no.

Requirements

Attunements:
Are there any, these days?

Gear:  There are no real gear 'requirements'.  However, performance during raids is a big factor.  You must be able to do well in raids (and this does not just refer to damage meters).  You should be looking at something like the following stats to perform well in raids:
- 2000 damage
- 800 crit rating
- 300 hit rating
- 300 haste

Obviously some specs don't need as much hit or favour crit or haste or whatever.  They are just ballpark figures.

Spec:  There are no spec requirements.  However, see the above note about performance.

Experience: Must have the following achievements:
- Heroic: The Secrets of Ulduar

Voice Chat:  All applicants must be able to use Ventrilo v3.  Being able to listen is a key factor in raids.  Being able to talk back is an added bonus.  Also required is a good understanding of spoken English.  You must be able to understand what people are saying on Vent.

Attendance:  80% raid attendance is the minimum for a raider in Iron Edge.  This means you have to be online and ready to go at invite time for 80% of raids.

Raid Times:  Raid times are currently 19:30-24:00 on weekdays.  Our current raiding days are Wednesday, Thursday, Monday and Tuesday.  Times are in Server Time.

During Raids:
- All members are expected to be online and at their keyboards for the entire 4 hours.  Short AFKs are allowed, but should be infrequent and no longer than a few minutes (at most).
- All members are expected to be fully buffed at all times.  This includes flasks and food.

Stuff to include in your application:
- When are you available for raids?
- What's your gear? (armory link?)
- What's your history in WoW? Raid experience, previous guilds (+ reasons for leaving them), etc.

Note to Cross-Realm Applicants:  Make sure you talk to the Mage CL in game before migrating!   But seriously, if we offer you a trial and you migrate then you are guaranteed to get that trail.  We won't change our minds and leave you out in the cold.  However, that does not guarantee that you will pass said trial... but it's very hard to fail
