Something bad happened.

The forum was broken, so I ran a repair on the database (fairly usual stuff, and it's basically designed in a way that it never loses data...), and then WHAM, almost every user account gone.

Only like 83 out of 673 now, or something stupid.

Doesn't seem like we lost any posts, which is good.

I have a backup of the user accounts from earlier in the year, but I'm not sure how tricky it will be to reinstate them.

Will have a look at it now. If it doens't work... time to make new accounts, I'm afraid!

Restored the users from about a month ago...

Seems we lost about 20 or 30.

Some newbies will have to re-register, and I guess I will have to sort out some forum ranks for people again.

Oh well, shit happens.

Better than losing 18 months of forum, like last time!

Ouch, my post count is critted for ~200 posts but thats not so important. Good u got it back though. Make sure u have copy of copy of the copy updated daily ::)

If you know what your old post counts were, I'm happy to update them.

No posts were deleted it seems, just user accounts...

Utterly retarded, I know.

And yeah, rank, online time, signatures... they're probably all put back a month or so.

All of your PM's should be there, just a frontpage message counter says wrong...
eg: for me it says that I have 5 messages but when I open there are 9, just as it should be :)

Yar, only user-related settings/password/etc should've changed.

All posts/messages/love letters should be in tact!
