Title: Ozymandias, friend-spot application
Post by: Ozymandias on October 14, 2007, 10:22:15 pm
Hi there!

I thought it was about time I actually applied to you, instead of just giving empty promises of doing just that, so..here I am, hoping for a friend-rank-spot in what I hear is the coolest guild on the horde-side.

I'm a friend of Vorte - we used to play alliance together back in the day, before he abandoned his mage and went here. (Actually, Ahkailon was there too, but I dunno if he remembers me..) I stayed with my pretty little priest and hunter on the ally-side on darksorrow (Aymee and Keerawen, for those who might wonder.)for a good while, but recently gave up raiding as my guild disbanded, and I'm now playing purely for arena and fun. I've always wanted to play horde, so I transferred Ozymandias here from Chromaggus - he's a lvl 30 tauren druid.

Yes, you read right. I'm only lvl 30.(I actually dinged about 10 minutes ago...>_>) Yet. But I'm a fast leveler, and when I fall in love with a character(which I've done), I usually give it my all, so I can promise you that I'll be reaching 70 pretty damn fast. :)
I'd like to join you mostly because I miss playing with Vorte, and you are appearantly friendly, fun and cool.

As for who I am: when I'm not furry and sporting horns and a tail, I'm a 20-something girl from Norway, studying computer science, working in a bookstore, and spending the rest of my time on a million different things, among them WoW.

Not quite sure what else to add - I've only ever written raiding-applications so this is new to me.

Oh, and as for sponsoring-thingies, I'm hoping Vorte will be true to his words and do that. ;)

P.S: You really do have the cutest smilies ever here!

Sponsor'd indeed!  :D

Well what can I say, one of the reasons I didn't start playing Horde earlier :) This cute pussy(I ment cat...) is not only a great player, but also a incredibly social person! If I'm not mistaking she was some sort of social officer in the days way back.. :p

I lub playing with her too, so give. I say no more. !  :

Or actually, I will add one thing, she IS a SHE  ;) :P

"My name is Ozymandias, king of kings.  Look on my works, ye mighty, and despair!"

Into to an awesome tribes map.  + gl!

A druid. A girl who plays a druid. A Norwegian girl who plays a druid! How much better can it get? :D

Anyway, any friend of Vorte & Co is welcome as far as I bother to care. Good luck with your (by far good enough) F&F application.

For those of you into literature:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ozymandias

One of Percy Shelley's best sonnets. Maybe the best, outside of actual Shakespeare...! Well, OK, it's not that good. But it's fun.

So, you mentioned you had only written raiding applications - what have you raided exactly? :)

Otherwise... Good application, and I assume we'll see you in /g soon!

Less than I wanted to, really - but when a guild dies, it dies. Anyway, we got lurker and morogrim down in SSC, and lootreaver in TK. Got in some tries on hydross as well, but never did manage to down him. Did it all on my healingpriest, then half the guild left and we had to reorganize, so I changed to hunter and did it all again. ;)
Anyway, people didn't come to raids, officers and classleaders (me among them) got burned out, and the only other guild I would consider raiding with on DS wasn't recruiting hunters or priests.

And yes, it's a lovely sonnet, always been a favorite of mine. ^^

(Although my name is only partly from there. I originally started playing with a shaman called Millicent, after an awesome online comic called ozy&millie. He decided he didn't like shamans, however, and is now to be found on a warrior called Karjalin instead.)

I do remember you off course. More surprised that you remember me to be honest, considering that I didn't really play a lot on my warrior :).

Anyway. I would vouch for you, but you're probably in the guild all ready :P .

Couldn't be arsed to reply in both applications and u know, u are girl... he is a troll.. .wasn't a hard decision!
Goes for both applicants: From what I saw in these applications u seem very talkative (so far), a rare quality that fades over time in Iron Edge. After so many "LOL PENIS" comments from Nachmanun noone dares to start conversation in/g :(
Though u aren't my friends (yet) I feel that u will fit in perfectly so thumbs up from this rawrior™ :)

Sonnets are gay.
