I really liked this movie!
8/10.
(my film reviews rock, eh?)
-
wasn't so bad but the 'shorts' and credit music really annoyed me.
-
Yeah, didn't much like the music :)

Getting closer to an actual review, with every reply...

Dunno what to think about this movie. It was an okay watch when I saw it, but somehow the more I think about it in retrospective, the more I get pissed off.
Somehow all this amagad Juno is so leet & awesome & hip & has good muzik taste stuff didn't work for me.
Pretty much it all boils down to

And just like in Hard Candy, Ellen Page is incredible annoying.
Also, was noone creeped out by the yuppie couple? Seriously, I thought anytime Jennifer Garner would politely excuse herself to get some refreshments from the kitchen just to return with butcher knives in both hands, stabbing everyone.

It's also totally OK to flip when anyone talks to her husband but her.

And sure everyone would have some overprotective psycho adobt her baby.

IMO the movie is pretty much saved by Michael Cera revisiting his role from "Superbad" and some of the extra cast. Rewatch value is absolutely zero though.

Hmmm.
I think I liked this movie.
Massive spoilers from here!!!!
And although I dont like horrormovies or much of the music they played, I recognized something in the relationship between the "husband" and juno.
Atm I think the worst thing about getting in to a serious relationship/marriage would be to have to let go of those things like your guitars and stuff that you love.
I dont want to grow up and have a nice house with nice furniture and just listen to opera and read the newspaper, I want to keep my guitars and my gear and keep playing music and games till I die.
Why should you become boring and serious just because you are an adult.
I think a highschool girl getting pregnant is pretty retarded but I would say adoption is a far better solution than keeping it (abortion would perhaps have been just as good if not better) and it happens and it will keep happening untill the day that we cant conceive children naturally anymore.
But it had a happy ending and I am a sucker for those.
Unfertile woman got a child as she wanted, nerdboy and nerdgirl got eachother and the husband got his freedom to stay young :-)
EDIT:
And in addition in the fucking religious USA where things like condoms and abortion are evil NONO's I think adoption is the only way to go.
Teenage parents should be avoided at all cost.

7/10 for the lost in translation relationship between Juno and the married man and for the very sympathetic parents!
I think it got so much attention because it approached the teenage pregnancy thingy somewhat different; by not saying OMG IM SORRY all the time. Juno is pretty cool in that sense. I dont see any super-duper cinematic qualities in it though, except maybe pretty good acting and a decent script.

The married guy is just a huge prick. Lost youth and shit - my ass - yeah I bet his wife forces him to have no friends he can have fun with (she prob is supposed to, but it wasn't made a strong enough point in the movie IMO). It's really hard for him being able to work from home & shit, leaves no room for personal freedom at all ::) And exactly how many years did it take him to realize that stuff that finally makes him leave?
-
Goza are you really a woman?
-
Don't have to be female to despise aimless dumbasses. "Hmm maybe adopting a baby will save my marriage. Oh I just remembered I don't want to save it, but let's do it anyway. Oh no changed my mind I'm outta here it's suddenly all so oppressing..."
-
Well I think its quite obvious that its Jennifer Garner that wants a child and not him, and I agree he is pretty worthless/spineless.
