Hello Iron Edge!
Man I'm real happy i looked up this guild. I was on wow (trade chat) asking if anyone new about a guild that also specialized in pvp. Your name came up!
OK where do i start.... Well, my name is Orville Small but on WOW i go by Kundrak. I'm basically a nurse anesthetist in Holland but originally from Canada. I moved to Holland to persue my dance career. I am a salsa world champ (I go by the name Orville Small group called Draken Woede) and one of the elite krumpers (I go by the Name Tchozn or 7thirty) in Holland. I basically work in anesthesia 4 days a week, and the rest i use for dance. My evenings are free and that's where I picked up playing WOW.
I started WOW in late March so i haven't been playing as long as some of the other applicants. But i am real determined to PvP... I don't really raid much so i spend 95% of my time pvping. I play a frost mage by the name of Kundrak lvl 80. I Duel and Bg close to 4 hours a day (hahahahha maybe a lil extensive) but my goal is to learn the tricks of the trade so to speak. I duel all levels cause i see that everyone has different playing styles and I feel that's important to progress. At this point i can learn from everyone.
As for my accomplishments i wont gas anyone up. I only started pvping a few months after i started playing. I have mastered all the achievements in Wsg. I started too late so the possibility of finishing off the other achievements for BM just wont work. I am still doing pvp achievements for the exp. At the beginning i started with arena on the advice that someone gave me but what i quickly realized is that i didn't know my character and the other types of chars well enough.. that's why i stuck to bg to get used to team work and opposition. During this time i still did arena and ended with a rating of 1200 but that was not my focus seeing that my basics were not complete. so dueling and BGs were my main focus.
I am not the worse and no way am i close to being the best but I am dedicated and i am very eager to learn. I train hard and have made a big improvement since i started.. but i know its far form being complete... if you give me this chance, u will definitely have someone loyal and looking for the best interest of the team whether it be bgs or arena.

Anyway, it's a good apply I guess, but 1200 rating is really really low, even if arena wasn't your focus at all. If any of us PvPers see you online we could maybe arrange some duelling with some of our PvPers to see how your individual skill is.

You seem like a cool guy (nice perfomance if thats actually you!), but its quite disturbing that you played over 500 matches in arena and didnt broke 1500.

This is where you made mistake im afraid, there is no teamwork in bg's. If you want to make progress you have to play vs players of your skill and better ones, bg's were just full of totally clueless bads.

you seem like someone who'd fit into our community well,
yet, your PVP achievement really don't even come close to being on par with our requirements
yet, like you say, you're eager to learn, and that imo is promising.
I guess you would have a decent shot of getting in if you apply as F&F, and let us decide somewhere in Cataclysm if you've become good enough for our PVP squad.

Hey everyone, Thank you for your replies.. this is much appreciated. yeah i figured that my pvp experience is not up to par form what i have seen other write, but for sure i am up to dueling and learning.... I'm not the type of player that turns down a duel because someones gs is higher then mine. I learn form everything.
yeah I'm not surprised I did so many arenas and didn't break 1500... I knew nothing. i think i went through crazy amount of arena partners cause most of them were just in to get weekly arena points. and a few did quit cause my arena skills were also poor.

I don't totally agree with this. I may not have had verbal contact with people but things like protecting flag carrier ccing opponents finishing achievements basically helped me to figure out goals and how to stick to certain things to accomplish them.. from what i understand bgs will be a big part of cata so my learnings in Bgs are not a total waste i feel. and i have been dueling, reading up and experimenting in dueling just as much as Bgs.. both are equally important to me.
Bottom line, is i would love to duel some of you to gain knowledge and see how you all with exp play. if I'm not chosen there is no lost, i will still be on wow dueling and pvping and hopefully doing arena.
I also understand that this guild is something serious and if my exp is not equal to what i would get in return ( which i totally agree with what some of you said) then its back to the drawing board.
but thanks once again.
if applying as F&F helps me to get in among people who are serious pvp players as yourselves then I'm all for it seeing that that is my main focus in WOW.

Very impressive dancing and courageous to come to Holland! However like the rest already said, your arena experience is way too low for us to normally even consider you. BUT your attitude is definitely something we need here in the IE community. I'd very much like it if you add me on WoW and poke me sometimes so you can come along for a BG or something, if we have a spot. I'd rather have you than some random :P. If you keep in touch with us, and you make significant progress in your individual skill, you can re-apply (if needed) and we'll be happy to have you on board :)

TTam dont take it personally that I didnt jump. Bottom line is that there are so many sly peoepl doing that on WOW my instinct was to not go forth. So I researched and now I am here. For me it was impossible to see if you were serious or not but what really impressed me here is that you all even have an application procedure. That to me is more concrete than the word of someone I have never met before in a game where amongst good people there are alot of people who are not trustworthy.
Sparrowhawk, I dont have any firends in the guild so I can imagine that that also doesnt work according to the prereqs.
I will wait till Therash gives me a chance at a bg. From there it can only be positive.

yeah hahahah we have done quite a few themes.. if youare niterested my youtube channel is drakenwoede. I have a lot of krump videos but there are some salsa videos in between. Or just make a search for Orville Small. That may be easier. Thanks for the interest.

We're currently in the process of finding a way to recruit purely social forum members that just want to be part of the community and play games with us. At this moment I can't accept you as a PvP member since you do not have sufficient PvP experience. I'll keep you updated on any news regarding the subject.

What you could do is try to become part of the community outside the guild first. Check the link at the top of the page ('join our mega-exciting chat now'). From there you can talk to us in our out-of-wow guild chat room and maybe get our TS details and come and talk to us. From there it's an easy jump to joining as a social member.
Might want to look into making this the path to social guild entry, becoming a part of the community outside of the game first. Much like Kuri (Douche) did.

Unless you completely neglect your children... Had a guy in my last guild who completely ignored his children, and if they came into his computer room during raid time he would scream at them to get out. Good parenting is good!

hahahaha Destro i had to laugh so hard when i read what you wrote... I could just picture it in my head a dude who hadnt shaved for weeks locked up in a room with a comp playing WOW, so skinny ribs showing from not eating. And then turning into a glaring demon when kids tried to come in... hahaha. Yeah its funny but not funny. Anyways. Good parenting is indeed important. So, I was just looking at our site statistics... and apparently, 113 people came to the IE site last month by searching for 'kundrak'! (Maybe he's famous?)
Anyway, I just realized something.
