Hello, Iron Edge! I am applying for the Weekend Raid. Character: Basedefender Server: Tarren-Mill Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/Tarren-Mill/BasedefenderClass/Spec: Warlock (DPS) Member Type: Weekend Raider Personal Info:30f, born and raised in Macedonia, living in North Macedonia, mid-level QA tester for video games, former graphic and industrial designer Class/Spec:Mainly destruction and demonology, have played as affliction as well during a couple of expansions. I mainly prefer destruction, but I switch based on what's currently viable. Currently at 643 with a 2-set, which is used for all three specs, currently. For AOE I open with Cataclysm, Malevolence to utilize the haste buff, following with Channel Demonfire, and proceed to blast with Rain of Fire. If it's a big pack, I add up the Infernal. Spam Conflagrate, Incinerate during low shards, and Rain Fire/Chaos Bolt, and Refresh Wither manually if the pack is smaller, or wait for Catalysm to get off of cool-down. Stun and interrupt when necessary using a combination of Shadowfury and pet interrupt, shadow bolt and fear if things get too hectic. I'm currently using the Mayhem instead of the Havoc talent, so I can focus on learning the dungeons better, hopefully without causing too much shit. For ST, I precast Soul Fire about 3-3.5 seconds before pull, and follow up with one cast of Conflagrate and Shadowburn, then I add up the Infernal and blast between Shadow Burn, Chaos Bolt, Conflgrate and Incinerate. Alts:I have a mage and a shaman that are under-geared, but at max level. However I'm not confident in playing them, but if needed I can push myself into one of the roles. Professions:Herbalism and Alchemy. Nope :/ Raiding Experience:AOTC since Castle Nathria (except Sylvannas), have completed 3/10M Nathria, 2/8M Vault, 3/9 Aberrus, 4/9 Amirdrassil https://worldofwarcraft.blizzard.com/en-gb/character/eu/tarren-mill/basedefender/achievements/feats-of-strengthPrevious Guilds:Mozochen Udar (21/04/2024-)(inactivity), Profanities(25/04/2023-21/04/2024)(internal), Evil Muffins (24/04/2022-25/04/2023)(internal), Excesse (09/01/2023-21/04/2024)(inactivity) Availability:I am working from 9-5, I'm taking some extra work during weekdays up to 22:00. Weekends I'm free in the afternoon after 19:00. Communication:Yes to all. Computer / Connection:Decent enough, no FPS issues, 300/300 super stable, nope, nope and nope. Addons/UI:BigWigs/LittleWigs, Weakaura, DBM, Raider.io, Details, GTFO, MDT, Plater, Simulationcraft, Method Raid Tools, RCLootCouncil, TomTom, Other Games:Dota 2, Hearthstone Battlegrounds, and Underlords mostly, recently played Hades, Disco Elysium, Space Marine 2, Stardew Valley, Valheim Why Iron Edge?Because I want to play with people What can I offer Iron Edge?I guess an extra helping hand might fit the answer. Where did I hear about Iron Edge?S/O Last Words?I hope we can work out a nice mutual experience

Hello, Iron Edge! I am applying for the main raid. Character: Nzeki Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/eu/Kazzak/NzekiClass/Spec: Mage (DPS/Healer) Member Type: Raider Personal Info:Name: Dec Most wow friends know me as: Zeki Age: 29 (30 in 2 weeks ) Location: Yorkshire, UK Work: Audio programming in games Class/Spec:This tier I'm playing fire, they finally made SKB worse so the spec is enjoyable again. I usually play one of Fire/Frost, Arms/Fury, WW, Resto druid. Gear is pretty woeful, I am coming back to the game after a break, but since it is the start of a season it shouldn't take too long to catch up. Stats for fire are haste/mastery/vers, I miss when it used to be crit (bring back emerald nightmare fire). Rotation is mostly combustion-centric and maintenence in between, pooling for next combust etc. Alts:Serephena - Warrior - 80 Zekíí - Monk - 80 Newkeproof - Priest - 80 Zekisham - Sham - 80 Zekiithree - Druid - 80 Professions:Not generally my thing but I've got decent blacksmithing and leatherworking on alts. Raiding Experience:I've been everywhere from casual to top 500ish, have got CE playing as healer and melee (but often I have to switch classes halfway through a raid to fill holes). I've been officer, co and main raidlead, backup tank, regular raider and 'that guy'. Previous Guilds:TWW Depresso Expresso - Bad management and burnout DF Project potatoes (and others) - Work got too much so stepped away from the game Welcome - Didn't feel like a great social fit Quite a few others over the last 15 or so years Availability:Evenings generally from 6:00 UK onwards . Sometimes I have crunch at work and will have to request some flexibility, but not that often. Communication:Native english speaker, yes and yes. Computer / Connection:3070/11900k sometimes but its usually drops to 30 on pull it's not amazing speed but it's good enough for wow No No No Addons/UI:Weakauras, Elvui, Bigwigs, RCLC, Details (pretty obvious) ERT - Notes and timers Bugsack + Buggrabber - I write a lot of my own weakauras, these are essential for debugging Gnosis - Castbar replacement Plater - Scripting on nameplates is handy TrueStatValues - Lets you know how much you are losing to DR Other Games:POE, LoL, Elden ring, a lot of stuff for work Why Iron Edge? The guild seems like an established reliable raiding environment, and I'm looking for a late CE guild where I can hang out with people, make friends and raid without too much stress. What can I offer Iron Edge?Raiding experience, weakaura writing and reliability. Where did I hear about Iron Edge?Wowprogress Last Words? The button for 'Apply to the Main Raid' leads to a form that reads 'Casual Raid', just to be clear I'm applying for main raid.

I added up all the group expenses and put them in the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jYB5MpWE7xVNJle2RK3ZXYlYFpeqp1g7B_KM8Zpmq9E/edit?gid=1494070772#gid=1494070772I just took the the total costs for the food and escape rooms and devided them by the number of people there. Please check my numbers to make sure I didn't make a mistake. Let me know if everything is okay!

I've been battling a pretty bad flu since Monday, but I was hopeful I'd shed it in time until this morning. I still have a raging fever, and my head feels like I've been hit by one of those two-story buses.
I can't fly in this state, and even if I did I would probably be confined to my hotel room anyway. I am really bitter, as this was going to be my first meet-up ever. I was looking forward to meeting you guys, hopefully we'll see each other at the 30-year anniversary or something!

Sadly I can’t make it to the meetup. We woke up to a situation at home that I’ve got to stick around and help sort out. I was really pumped for this weekend, but it’s out of my hands. Hope you all have a good time.

The year was 2005. George W. Bush was president, Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith dominated the box office, League of Legends was a mod for Warcraft 3, and a new online world called World of Warcraft was taking its first steps. On Dunemaul, a group of players, hungry for adventure (and purple items), forged Iron Edge. The guild quickly became known because of its hardcore raiders, as well as cameos in TALES OF THE PAST (one of the most known WoW Machinima movies of all time). It was a simpler time, a time when our GM and founder, Kaos, was legendary. Not just for the fact that he was the guild leader of the reputable Iron Edge, but also because rumours circulated about him allegedly being a game master as well. He tried to balance this act for a while but eventually some fellow guild members ran their mouths on the server, forcing him to step down and leave the leadership to someone else. We've weathered storms and adapted to change. Somehow, through it all, we've kept being one of the last guilds that have lasted since the inception of WoW. In MoP, the guild had to move from the deserted Dunemaul to Kazzak to find new members. We've also moved from TeamSpeak to Discord in 2016. Switching to a service that wasn’t just voice chat, but also a chat platform meant that logging onto WoW to chat with your guild members was no longer necessary. Going along with broader trends in gaming while continuing to keep our community growing and thriving on a game that kept getting older, proved that we were here to stay. Leadership in the guild has been a story of evolution. From the legendary A-Team, on Dunemaul, morphing from 40 to 25 to 10 as the game evolved, to Grax and Yoica and eventually Rash's stalwart B-Team, we've consistently fielded capable raiding groups. In 2014, I established the Weekend Raid, a team for those that couldn't raid during the week. Rasgaas has been taking the reins since 2022! And for those of us whose reflexes and, let’s say “dependable fortitude”, aren't what they used to be, Grax and Abyss created the "Too Old to Raid" (ToT) team, proving you can still have fun smashing content, even if it's at a more leisurely pace. Kodin has been running this team since the end of 2016! And just like that, we have grown into a community that welcomes every type of gamer. So much so, that Narco started his tabletop group as well. Some have also started playing a variety of other games such as Helldivers, Stellaris, Civ - and much more.So we can say that we've evolved into a multi-game community. Over the many years, members have traded Red Bull fueled all-nighters for diaper changes. Raiding 4-nights a week was traded for full time jobs. Life happened. We grew up. Families were started. But the spirit of Iron Edge lives on. Of course, no guild history would be complete without mentioning a few of the colorful characters who have graced our ranks. We've survived attempted coups to break our ranks and poach our key players. On occasion, we've also seen members depart prematurely, right before the team achieved Cutting Edge. Funny enough, one individual found difficulty joining another guild, since we kept our logs public and it was easy to see the shameful way in which he departed. Though, not everyone takes the separation as well. Let's not forget the old members that attempt to recreate a "real" Iron Edge on Classic servers. It was a weird way of dealing with their feelings after we moved on without them. Then there are Moon's exes, whom we shall not name for fear of triggering a guild-wide restraining order. And of course, we have to mention the last dedicated Boomkin main we had, who left in a blaze of what can only be described as a complete emotional meltdown. But despite all the drama, the trials, and the tribulations, Iron Edge has remained a force to be reckoned with. Looking ahead, we're still pushing content and having a blast. Our main raid is consistently earning Cutting Edge achievements, the Weekend Raid is carving a path through at least half of the raid (on mythic) each tier, and the ToT raid is conquering Heroic difficulty content. Our community is stronger than ever! We're not just about raiding, we're about creating a community that extends beyond the game. This week marks our long-awaited meetup! We're bummed that some of you (looking at you, Tyssar!) couldn't make it, but rest assured, we'll be flooding Discord with pictures and videos so you can feel like you're right there with us. And speaking of looking ahead: The new raid opens next week. It's looking like a good one and Iron Edge is once again ready to meet the challenge!
