Personal Info:

Hi, my name is Daniel I'm 30 years old and from Norway. I'm currently a customer store representative at a Circle K station. I guess I should state that this application is classic wotlk, not retail.

I've had a passion for gaming my entire life, ever since I got the Nintendo 64 console as a christmas present. I started playing WoW shortly after TBC came out and I've been playing various MMO's ever since, and WoW has been a constant in my life ever since until recently. Took my first big break from the game during Legion and played only briefly in both BFA and Shadowlands. Roleplaying games are also games I enjoy immensly and my favourite game series is the Soulsborne games from From Software.

I'm not the most sociable guy, I'm both and introvert and shy when meeting new people and I feel more at ease in a small group rather then a large one. But I always find meeting new people exciting even if my lack of communication may suggest otherwise.

Class/Spec:

The reason for picking a warlock is because that's what I played back in OG WotLK. and I loved the Demo specc in this expansion so I decided to roll a warlock again instead of trying something else.

While the affliction specc is the strongest dps wise a single demo lock is a great support role in a 25 man raid with Demonic Pact eventually surpassing the elemental shaman totem in terms of pure spellpower given to all members of the raid.

Alts:

Alts are not relevant at this point because the server is fresh, I do however plan to make atleast a paladin and death knight alt at some point during the lifespan of WotLK.

Professions:

My current professions are skinning and mining whicch I plan to switch out for engineering and tailoring at lvl 80. Engineers gets access to the gloves enchant that grant 340 haste every minute. Tailoring gets access to Lightweave Embroidery and I've always been a tailorer on my warlock in retail so it would feel wrong not to be one in classic.

Raiding/PVP Experience:

It's been over a decade since WotLK so I'm not entirely sure but I'm pretty sure I did up to Sarth 2 drakes in current patch. I took a break after my guild stopped raiding and I can't rememer if I did Ulduar and ToGC 25 heroic 4/5 in their respective patches or later on in the expansion. For ICC it was 11/12 heroic 25 man.

Cataclysm: Mostly casual and stuck to normal mode, I did 6/8 heroic 25 man in 4.3

MoP: MSV 6/6 hc, HoF 3/5 hc, ToES 2/4 hc, ToT 11/13 hc, SoO 14/14 hc.

WoD: HM 7/7 mythic, BrF 8/10 mythic we struggled with recruitment so we decided to take a break and didn't go back when HFC released.

Legion: EN 7/7 mythic, ToV 2/3 mythic, NH 3/11 mythic. Had a very stressful job at the time and my immense dislike of M+ meant that I couldn't keep up with the AP grind so I decided to step down as both a tank and officer of my guild so I wouldn't hold them down. This was the last time I raided seriously in retail WoW, I had a short stay in a mythic guild at the start of BFA did 3 or 4 mythic bosses in Uldir. But after that I haven't raided at all except the occasional normal raid or lfr.

I also have raid experience in FFXIV. Don't know how relevant you think that it. But it's either 2 or 3 out of 4 savage bosses per major patch since Stormblood released with the exception of the last major patch in Shadowbringer.

Previous Guilds:

My previous guild in classic was Oilshire on Firemaw, I stopped raiding shortly before phase 2 in classic TBC. I didn't have the economy to keep raiding at that moment and I refuse to swipe my credit card for for gold and a chance to get banned, so I took a break. A few good friends of mine asked if I wanted to raid with them on FF14 and I took them up on the offer and stuck with with FF as a casual after that group disbanded a few months later.

Availability:

Right now the only thing that restricts my availability is work. I have most evenings free with the execptions of thursdays and I might work evenings in the evenings a couple of times a month, but the weekend work can also be "dayshifts" and my colleagues and I are usually so flexible that we can shift around and change shifts if we have other plans. I'm in the middle of changing jobs so I'm not sure how my schedule is in a couple of weeks though.

Communication:

I can both speak and write english at an acceptable level. I do have discord and have no qualms about joining voice chat during organised activites, I have a mic and will use it if I want to talk and it's allowed at that time.

Computer / Connection:

My computer is starting to get old, but it's still in decent shape, I'm running 60 fps in Ogrimmar right now and usually at 40 fps in FFXIV with all it's flashy effect 24/7. My connection is stable and I rarely disconnect.

Addons/UI:

My character is 37 at the moment and I haven't put any big effort in sorting any addons. However I can say that for raiding in classic I use either bigwigs or dbm, weakauras and threat meter. I see that I have exorsus raid tools installed so I must have used that in oilshire. Other addons I use for raiding is dependant on which role or class I play. Addons like pallypower, an addon to show personal and raid wide cooldowns available if I'm tanking etc. I have G600 logitech gaming mouse to help with my keybinds. The only thing I have unbound is things like food, and consumables I don't need to create/use during combat.

Other Games:

At the moment I also play FFXIV casually, FFVII, Elden Ring and recently finished Stray. I'm looking foward to God of War Ragnarok and Hogwarts Legcay. I have a decent sized Steam library and I will pretty much play whatever catches my fancy at the time.

Why Iron Edge?

I was questing with a couple of members of Iron Edge in Hillsbrad last night and had a good time. I'm guildless at the moment and looking for joining a somewhat stable guild that I can get to know during the leveling process and feel at home when we hit max level. Was told that you plan to go hard during WotLK and I look forward to do all the encounters/raid achievements I didn't manage to get during OG WotLK. I heard that the first raid is on tuesday the 11th of October which means that atleast one raid day fits my current schedule.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

I can offer a mature and relaxed personality, I'm willing to offer aid and join in games event if you have those. if I join the guild and offered a raid spot I can offer a guy that comes prepared for the raid and is on time. I have no qualms about playing more of a support role if needed.

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

I heard about you from Westpharos and Whackhead while questing with them in Hillsbrad Foothills.
