Hello,
My name is Daniel, 30 Years old and living in Austria
I am a software developer and married.
I'm playing wow since Vanilla but I didn't play every single expansions.
during Covid-19 I returned to the game at the end of BFA and achieved CE in last month of the expansion.
In shadowland I achieved with guild named "so far behind" CE in s1 and s2.
The game was boring for me after Sylvanas CE so I decided to stop playing till next expansion.
so for dragonflight I am looking for a new CE-exp guild


Class/Spec:

I can play all 3 specs.
actually I played always Mage as  Main spec.
I can call myself Master of this class.
I choose always what is the best spec of tier to play for example I played Fire in shadow-lands s1, and arcane s2
so it depends on tier which spec I play
and I think gear level is irrelevant for the next expansion since we have huge item-lvl upgrade

This is really situational
for Fire , Haste is main stat , and after that versatility/crit/mastery
Arcane doesnt need haste much,it is  around 13-14 %  enough otherwise Mage has mana Issue, and Mastery crit and vers
Frost must have 33% crit so after that Mage can stack haste and vers , and mastery is kinda useless for this spec
But all this things depends on the content. It can be different in m+ or raid or even pvp or even the gear that Mage has. a Trinket or a Finger can change this priority for example

It is SD 23 where the highest key was 24 or 25 as arcane
It can show my play style as a Mage

Alts:

I play some characters as alt such as shadowPriest, warrior and hunter, but never serious
as I focus on my Main and I love Mage.
another reason is that my previous guild didn't expect me to play alt
If you need alt, surely I can play them

Professions:

I have tailoring and alchemy on my Mage for +2 H potions xD
in shadowlands professions didn't have self-benefits so I didn't focus on the much.

Raiding Experience:

as I mentioned , I played Mage as a Fix player for every single bossfights
CE , last 3 tiers. (bfa last season, shadowlands s1 and s2) .I didn't play anymore after that since the game was boring.
for the next expansion I am going to play as serious as before and have some fun in m+ high-end pushes and mythic progression

Previous Guilds:

"so far behind" was my previous guild. so far behind is very good guild with friendly atmosphere and I had so much fun there, but since I didn't play after Sylvanas CE, I lost my spot and their roster is full, so I am looking for a new guild

Availability:

I can bring around 100% attendance, my job holidays etc are flexible except emergency things.
I'd assume that I won't have problem in this case

Communication:

I think my English is good enough for this game and mythic progression and community in game, although it's not perfect.
and yes I have discord and a working Microphone to talk and listen


Computer / Connection:

I have a decent PC , I don't want to describe my System here, but I can say that everything is set to Ultra in game ( Graphic configurations) and I do not have any problem in this case

Why Iron Edge?

well , 2 days per week progression and CE is not that easy for most of players.
If you see the guilds like that with good World rating that means , they understand the game and they are good players.
I have experience to progress with such people , so I know how enjoyable this could be.
I'd assume that your guild is the same with such a strong application-Form

What can I offer Iron Edge?

If I get a chance, you will have a friendly guy, without any dramas.
I would like to do m+ with Guild-members/friends outside of the progression, for gearing and more important to me pushing some ratings
During progression I will be a reliable person to do mechanics or focus on dmg or anything else as I have enough raiding xp

Hello Liferage! You seem to know your way around all mage specs but just to nitpick, could you clarify on why arcane mages need that % of haste? I believe mana issues is not the real reason. Also the 33% soft cap crit for frost is a nice thing to have but do you really think its mandatory? You said you stick with a spec for the tier, but most of the times different specs shine on different bosses within the same tier. Are you comfortable swaping around specs as necessary? according to my recent experience in Shadowlands as Arcane,
haste around 13 - 14% is enough since the Kyrian-playstyle wasn't depending on haste but Crit.
as long as you have Enough Mastery to recover mana faster, you can have more haste, but on my Opinion , haste doesn't help Arcane Mage to do much dmg.
33% crit on Frost is not Mandatory ofc, for example in shadowlands S1 I couldn't cap this amount of Crit , but If  you have this amount of Crits, so you will have 100% Crit chance on your most spells, but in DF, it seems to be changed

Hi Liferage. The point of having some haste, before having the 4 set bonus is so you are able to fit your arcaneblast + arcane barrage in your TotM window, independently of how far you are to the boss (due to travel time of arcane barrage). This was more of an issue before the tier bonuses as you had to be at max 25 yards with 9-13%, but even with 4 set its kinda of a QOL improvement, as sometimes you have some micro movements necessary mid burst on which haste really helps. The thing about crit on frost that I wanted you to point out is that its always about simming your char. Even thou 33% crit is something u want to reach, sacrificing other stats for can make you sim less. Just saying all of this cause its important to think critically about your class and to really understand how it works. I'm not an officer or anything but a mage player too, so I wish you good luck with your app and see you in DF (me typing so much is a clear sign that I miss WoW).
