I play arcane mage this expansion and have no preference over which mage spec as they are all entertaining to me. I really like mage given how strong it's been over the years and the love the devs give mage. Which class has this much damage, utility, and mobility?. Ilvl 582.

I'm currently running haste/mastery but there has been a lack of agreemant between theorcrafters as to what the second best secondary stat is. Haste is king due to most of the damage coming from casting arcane blast. In any case, simming is just the way to go.

The rotation for arcane is very similar between single target, cleave, and aoe. The general idea is that you want to be casting arcane blast with Nether Precision procs unless you cap 3 clear casting procs which allow you to arcane missile where you cast only one to avoid capping. The reason for this is because arcane missile does more damage than AB without the NP but AB + NP does more (at 4 charges). Also, you have to queue cast arcane barrage when you cast AB with 1 stack of NP to dipple dip which will sadly get removed the next patch. The dev team hates it when mages double dip as they removed double dipping with burden of power two hotfixes ago. You want to be clipping arcane missiles too, unless you have a Aether Attunment proc. Finally, when you have arcane soul,  you want to spam arcane blast while avoiding to cap on clearcasting procs. Arcane mage has 3 phases in their rotation, the big burn, mini burn, and filler. Big burn includes using mirror images, evocation, Arcane surge, and touch of magi, while mini burn is only using ToM. The reason for this is all cds other than ToM is 1.5min while ToM is 45 seconds.

As for AoE, the general logic is to maintain full arcage charges while fishing for ways to cast Arcane barrage at 4 charges. This can include the glorius incantation buff, using an arcane orb, or when using arcane missiles with the aehter attunment proc at 0 charges.

I have a 577 WW monk that I enjoy playing but don't main because the devs hate this spec.

Rock paper scissors - I left the guild because I was going through a transformative period and could no longer commit time to the game.

Focus Target - The guild disbanded for reasons I cannot recall.


Availability:

I prefer weekends and evenings during workdays. I won't be able to raid during exam weeks which are once in December and once in May.

Why Iron Edge?

I want to achieve CE every tier while also raiding 2 days a week and Iron Edge has the same philosophy.

What can I offer Iron Edge?

I am a team player that will put the benefit of the team over themself. I noticed that Iron Edge did not achieve CE last tier and wish to be able to contribute in improving the team as a whole. I constantly look to improve and accept constructive criticism as provided. No issues with gearing or being sat out.

Where did I hear about Iron Edge?

I have a friend that raided with you guys in Siege of Orgimmar. He was a mage named Celeste at the time.
