Not just another action hero movie!

Just read something about the actionhero/comic movie Watchmen, and just because of the fact it's 160 minutes long is for me reason enough to looking forward to it.

i like the comparison. i cant understand why you would look forward to a movie that is loong just for the sake of it being loong.

I think the only movies I've liked that were over 130 minutes were... LOTR 1 + 3, Godfather 1...

Well, there's been a few other OK ones, but where I've definitely found myself getting a bit impatient by the end.

Because i hope and want to believe they made the plot/story more intresting/complicated and worked it out better then the average actionhere/comic movie i've seen so far.

Normal recipe:

good guy vs bad guy
1 hot chick
10k fights
good guy wins and one get's the hot chick
The end

Hope this one will be diffent, changes are slim to none but still

I just think the time might be an indicator they actually worked on a good story that's all

I've read the review in a newspaper; first part has a lot of action (good stuff), but the second part is meh apparantly.

I'd still like to see this movie though, it seems pretty epic!

normally every9of10 movies about action heroes are shit... 1of10 is at least good for that kind of movies, but not as good as the original comic.

But somehow people watch them, i watch them. does not matter how shitty the rest i watched was. So, am i interested about Watchmen.

Watched this in the theaters 2 weeks ago. Watchmen is a bit long winded, but it has alot more depth than any other movie in its genre. Although I'm still not sure if that is a good thing :p. However all-in-all it worth seeing.

Ahh I loved this book, (I guess its a book...it came out in short stories at first and then became the book later). It doesnt matter, all that matters is it was good. Everyone I know has gone to see the bleeping thing now, so Im going to have to be sad and go to the cinema by myself.  It better be good:) Everyone has told me its got a different ending to the original graphic novel and it ends with happy.  I shall have to see, a little bit of misery in a film or a book sometimes brings a touch of realism and make me think well I may not be having a great day, but they seem to be having a worse one.

I liked watchmen, the heroes seemed real - they were flawed...massively.  One had his relationship fail as he wasnt able to feel emotion, another was a rapist (not exactly your typical heroes). If you read the novel, you will know about the seperate story that runs along side the watchmen.  The one about the shipwrecked sailor, (it might involve pirates can't remember Aaaaarrr lol) who eats a lot of gulls and makes a raft from the dead bodies of his shipmates?  Its a bit gorey. Anyway those who know what im talking about, this is available as a animation to download.
