what utter shit. They make a mockery of Street Fighter.
Insanity doesn't run in my family. Rather, it strolls through, taking its time, getting to know everyone personally.

Only the first ones were awesome. They should've quit at Street Fighter II. I don't even know how many there are now. What's next? Super Duper Street Fighter?

If they'd quit at SF2, we'd have missed out on a great deal of utterly fantastic fighting games, including SSF2 (which introduced some real fan-favourites like Cammy, Fei Long, T-Hawk), the Alpha series (Especially 3, probably the greatest 2D fighter of its time), SF3 (
worth it alone, though SF3 is still considered the greatest 2D fighter for mechanics by many), Capcom Vs. SNK2 (very popular still, great game) and others. Pretty much the only regrettable entry into the franchise was the EX+ games, which were early attempts at a 3D SF game and I believe weren't developed by the usual guys (a bunch of the characters and story are non-canon too). As for SF4... well there's a reason it received such a wonderful reception critically and commercially. It's a really fantastic game, and the new characters are pretty great.

It's cool that you have such great memories of the original SF2 game, I think a lot of us do, but you're doing yourself a huge disservice to dismiss the newer (and yes, far better) iterations and entries into the series simply because you have high-strength nostalgia pills in effect.

This is possibly one of the greatest fighting game franchises ever, if not the greatest. If you played Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter 4 you can really see how they preserved the originality and feel of the earlier games but brought the graphics up to current standards. Imo, they did a great job, will be playing this.

totally agree with kawe.
also as kili mentioned this game is nothing like the former 3d versions. takes advantage of 3d enviroment and character design but the gameplay is still SFII style.
