Personal Info:Hi there, My names Simon, I'm 30, Based between Swindon and Bristol in the UK, I am currently working as an IT technician for an NHS contractor and working towards becoming an infrastructure technician. I have a wife, no kids yet thankfully, we met through wow so I dont get nagged for playing long hours as she knows what it is like.
Class/Spec:I have just created the character on Kazzak. Looking for a "freshish" start again, and thought what better class to go back to my roots of when I started raiding, Feral druid, much nostalgia of the class, stam stacking the mighty bear for tanking ICC,
Alts:nothing on the server, but a number of 120 alts, Shaman, DK, Warrior, Monk, Priest and another Druid
Professions:Will be picking up herbalism and alchemy, so no fancy recipies yet just the "Bear" necessities, and who doesnt like mixing their drinks... I mean potions
Raiding/PVP Experience:In terms of raiding, I raided from TBC right up to Warlords of Draenor, on and off through legion and the start of BFA.
A note to add I once raided as a part of Iron Edge a log time ago in Cataclysm up to around Firelands, I played a hunter called Xris back then.
Previous Guilds:This one back in cataclysm when you were on Dunemaul, job at the time got demanding and had to focus elsewhere from wow.
Most recently, joined an alliance guild to play with a friend on wildhammer to avoid playing singleplayer wow, but always prefered the horde, raided with them for a while, clearing up to 11/12 normal and 7/12 HC nyalotha, the friend I joined now plays nothing but classic, I never really felt a part of the guild, just a number that turned up for raids for them and wanted to return to horde.
Availability:I work a 8-17.30 GMT job Monday to Friday
Communication:I am English, although after a large number of drinks im not sure the vocal aspect can be classed as proficient. I do have a microphone, I do use it, just might not be overly vocal at times, but when it matters I am.
Computer / Connection:I have a relatively decent system 16gb ddr4 and a 1070 so no latency issues in game, internet is I guess by todays standards a little slow 30mbps+
Although there I do get this weird connection issue when I try to PVP... if it starts going badly I lose connection, cant explain it, it never happens in PVE content
Addons/UI:DBM - All it has to offer - boss timers
Weak Auras - besides class specific weak auras, getting content specific weak auras ie fight/raid specific for monitoring stacks and other mechanics
exorus raid tools
GTFO - hey no ones perfect sometimes we stand in stuff
Omen - no one likes out aggroing the tanks... unless your a tank
Raven - easier visuals for monitoring buffs/debuffs and cooldowns
Other Games:Nothing that can be classed as "playing" as I usuall buy a game play for a few hours and then return to wow and forget about the game, but I do occasionally play Diablo 3, The Divivison 2 and not really a game but do like spending time drawing on Photoshop using my graphics tablet/screen.
Besides WoW the only game thats kept my attention is StarWars Galaxy of Heroes on my phone.
Why Iron Edge?I wanted to return to horde and the first guild that popped into/stuck out in my head was memories of raiding with you in cataclysm. while Im not expecting to raid with you strait away, hence applying for social member status, im thinking ahead for Shadowlands.
What can I offer Iron Edge?A reliable member, someone who rarely fails at tactics, or I like to think so, and someone who prefurs to be social due to mental reasons so am always looking to be a part of group content and helping where I can, whether that means aiding the guild in monotonous hours of fishing or changing class as the guild needs a role filling in some way, just so i can be useful and relevent, my idea of fun is being useful in a social environment over what class I am playing.
Where did I hear about Iron Edge?Initially I heard about you from a friend who I worked with was in the guild all those years ago and server changed back then to join you. This time Google, finding that you were still going strong.
My friends name was Matt and he played a rogue but cant remember the name of his rogue. He was good friends with the DK tank at the time, Abyss I think was his chars name, or Ben IRL.
Last Words?Please dont judge me to hard, I was only alliance for a short while... honest.
As I said at the start I have only just made the char on Kazzak, so if another class is needed I can level that instead, but who knows what the future of shadowlands holds.
