Jeffrey Kaplan: [...] So what I want to do in Northrend is to take Naxxramas in all of its glory, scale it down to the 25 man raid size, and then take the difficulty and retune it—obviously we’d tune for level 80, it would no longer be tuned for level 60, since that would be a little silly and it wouldn’t be a lot of fun for people at that point—but I want to put rewards in there that are very exciting to level 80 players, but make it the entry-level raid, very accessible, tune the encounters so that there’s something for everybody to do, and let the majority get a chance to see that content that they hadn’t seen before.

Oh wow, I didn't think they'd actually retune it for 80, thought 70 if we're lucky. I wonder if our experience there will then actually come in handy, or if the encounters will be so different/easy that it won't matter anyway?

They will want to spend as little manpower as necessary to adapt it, so it's quite a sure shot that the encounters will stay as close to their 60 versions as possible.

Is it just me that thinks this sounds like Blizz is setting new personal standards regarding laziness?

People have been screaming for the old content to be redone for the next expansion.  I'm glad they're listening!

I just hope they don't make the old content mandatory(sp?), meaning we have to farm it to progress with other dungeons. Kinda wondering if they make it equal to another instance time/reward wise, so if you get bored with one instance you can pick the other. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Really interessting to say the least!

Don't forget, they are making it an entry level raid, not an "endgame" raid.  It won't be harder than it is now, tactic-wise.  If anything, it'll be easier.
