Question:

How does frost resistance work now with all the new changes to hit etc. Frost has always been binary.. So either you fully resist or take a full blow.

Is frost still binary?

Oh.. and am I right if my calcs conclude that you need 415 resist to get max possible dmg reduction from spells (cap 75% -> myResist/resistanceNeededForLevel83 *75 -> 415/415*75)?

Think it depends on the fight...

This is for Sapphiron, and the aura ticks are partially resisted -- I resist about 25% with the paladin aura/totem.

I imagine if you were wearing FrR to mitigate some kind of frostbolt-main-attack from a boss, then it might be a binary thing...

From Hydross, the attacks were partially resisted, depending on how good your gear was.

re: FrR... We'll try Sapphiron tonight without it. I'm sure the Nihilum/SK guys did it without FrR, so it's possible...

We killed Sapphiron last night without any FrR, didn't really have any issues with it, so definately easily doable without anything but frost res aura.
