Yes, we are currently using a cellphone internet from a neighbour, but obviously it's not gonna be up 24/7 and we can't really do anything that requires alot of download\upload.

Shiftey, you can do a proper wallin with 2 depots and a rax at that map. Also you didnt scout at all. While you build your first depot you should move out 1 SCV to scout the proxy areas and then move onto his base to see what build hes going for. Just alone that would have given him up since his proxy position was kinda obvious. Also proper wallin would have helped there ;) you didnt have one.

This is the first game where I didnt scout, wanted to use the advantage at the start and use scans instead. And I had a wall as you can see, sent repair scvs too. It's just cheesy 100% works protoss bullshit. And scouting wouldnt have found it out, it's out the way and scout has it a long way down, so I probably wouldnt have the wall in.

You know people put proxys to places where your scout doesnt automaticly run? Thats why you should manually put it to check (shift+click queuing) as many dark areas as possible to prevent proxying.

And no you didnt have a proper walling, you had positioned your 3 supply depotes really strangely. and 1 of them wasnt finished.

Pic is one way to do the proper wallin, if you want to build techlab/reactor to that location at start.

I cant remeber if you said you had a Surf plan for your HTC Wildfire, but if you have you can atleast get internet thru USB-Tethering, using your phones 3g net thru the USB-Cable. And i dont mean you should play on your 3g net, but atleast have net when you want :D

Check where the proxy is... that's the location I wouldnt have checked, cause I usually check my base and expansion places, I wouldnt have spotted it there. And it doesnt matter my supply depot wasnt fully up, it was still a wall :P There's just no way to defend against that.

Its a wall with 50% health left and easy to break.

And yes theres ways to defend that, like the ones I listed previously. Also you could have used your scvs to repair the ALREADY BUILT walls and he wouldnt have gotten in

As you notice I did sent my scvs to repair. Also there's a way to lock that down with one rax and one supply depot, but then yoyu cant get out with tanks and thors (yeah I know in all videos on youtube they can, but for some reason I cant, it doesnt work for me). So stop focusing on searching for what I did wrong and admit that 70% of protoss I play against do this, the other 30% go void rays

I have yet to see a standard 4-gate :P you seem to be only one doing that

Ok I suggest:

Fuck the whole looking for proxy thing. Get a supply depot and use that SCV (after the depot is done) to go to the base of the enemy, where you see that he had no buildings in there, and no gas. Also the fact that he didn't scout you either should make you suspicious.

Your wall-in was Ok, but like sparrow says it can be done with a 2x supply depots and a racks. Also, don't be afraid to use many SCV's to repair. Remember that he doesn't have jack shit after you survive his rush, so there's no reason not to throw in atleast 4-5 SCV's to repair.

I know exactly what you mean though Shiftey, and I had the same thoughts when I was playing in the beta. But, this attack can be easily outrepaired by many SCV's and a good wall-in. Void Ray (proxy'd or not) cost an assload of gas. If you see he has both gas fully running, and doesn't have more than some stalkers out, he's either terrible or getting void rays (always assume the worst ofc :P) Void rays get slaughtered by a couple of missle turrets, but most importantly marines with stimpacks eat them for lunch.

Also, I would always get a MULE as soon as your orbital finishes, and use the second 50 energy on a scan, because early MULES give you an awesome advantage early in the game.
