New patch notes
« on: November 27, 2010, 09:08:26 pm »
General:

-Icecrown Citadel is now open to all who dare to enter! To break from the usual trend for tier gear, tier 10 will be introduced. However, to keep with the trend that only 3 sets of tier gear are wearable per expansion, tier 10 will have a level 85 requirement to wear.
-Boss Preview: Kael’thas will be making yet another incredible return. This time, he has been resurrected by the Lich King to serve his bidding. And yes, he will say that Tempest Keep was a setback.
-There is a 5-man, 10-man, and 25-man mode for Icecrown Citadel, god knows how one will survive 5-man, but oh well.

PvP:
-A new 10v10 bracket has been added to arenas! It will feature a capture-the-flag match.
-A new battleground has been added. It is called Eye of the Alterac Gulch Basin of Ancient Conquest. This will feature the dynamic new 200-man raid system.
-Everything that was buyable with honor can now only be bought with arena points.

Dungeons and Raids:

-All bosses in Naxxramas and the Obsidian Sanctum have been made significantly harder to challenge entry-level players a bit more. For example, Sartharian’s Flame Tsunamis have become more unforgiving, dealing approximately 150% more damage than before.
-All Ulduar bosses have been buffed to their original 3.1.0 strength, but the bugs remain unremoved.
-All titles received from World Firsts in PvE have been removed, but remain Feats of Strength. This is because we felt too many people flexed their e-peen at exploiting their way through bosses. Instead, there are now titles for loyally defeating bosses many times.

Racials:
-We feel that Alliance racials are too strong. They have all been removed.
-Will of the Forsaken and Mana Torrent no longer have a cooldown.

Classes: General
-Pets will now gain a 100% benefit from resilience, but will gain a 25% reduced benefit from Stamina.
-Replenishment: This now regenerates 0.5% mana over 5 seconds.

Death Knight:
-Because Death Knights are so awesome, talent changes were included.
-Death Knights will now benefit from Spell Power, but only in a negative way. Spell power will now actually reduce the damage output of a Death Knight even more.
-Horn of Winter has had its duration increased to 5 minutes, but can only be used once per minute.

Blood:
-Rune Tap, Improved Rune Tap, and Mark of Blood have been removed.
-Improved Blood Presence will increase all healing done in Blood Presence by 50%/100%.
-Dancing Rune Weapon has been removed. We are now taking suggestions for a stronger 51-point blood talent. So far, we have considered Lich King’s Fury, which instantly kills everything.

Frost:
-Threat of Thassarian has been removed.
-Howling Blast has had its damage reduced by 50%, but will deal 200% extra damage to casters and hunters.

Unholy:
-Scrouge Strike now has a 50% chance to instantly kill a player.

Druid

-Moonfire will now do 500% extra damage.
-All Feral abilities now do 250% extra damage in the Nature school.
-The spells Regrowth and Healing Touch have been removed.
-The spell Nature's Swiftness has been removed.

Hunter

-Readiness: now finishes the cooldown of Readiness as well.
-Aimed Shot is having it's -50% healing effect removed. Instead, it will apply a debuff similar to Curse of Doom.
-Hunters can now tame the following creatures: druids in cat/bear forms, and other people's pets.
-Hunters can now tame all Dragonkin.
-Misdirection's charges has been raised to 60.

Mages

-All Fire and Frost spells have been removed from the mage's spellbook.
-Arcane Blast now has a 100% chance that it will be a critical.
-Critical hit damage increased by 500%
-If a person in the mage's party is within 50 yards of a mage and says "table" or similar, the mage will be forced to cast Ritual of Refreshment.
-We have created a new skin for Mages (vending machine).

Priest

-Holy spells are now castable in Shadowform.
-Shadow spells are no longer castable in Shadowform.
-The Discipline talent tree has been removed. All priests will now know the spell Pain Suppression and Penance by default.

Paladin
-Sacred Shield has been removed.
-Divine Plea has been removed.
-Shield proficiency has been removed.
-The Holy and Retribution talents trees have been removed and replaced with Protection.

Rogue

-Stealth has been removed.
-Vanish has been removed.

Shaman

-The maximum amount of totems a shaman is allowed to have out is 2. Sucks to be you.

Warlock

-We feel that Warlocks are too overpowered so we nerfed them even more.

A stranger walked high in the mountains to ask the echo an important question. He took a deep breath and yelled:

Tell me all about DAMAGE!

and the echo simply answered:

... Mage.... Mage... Mage....
