Lady Sinestra Video Strategy Guide
« on: May 31, 2011, 04:24:59 pm »

Depending on your healing setup you can have a couple of healers dps almost full time in phase 1. I know that I will finish 75% of phase 1's without casting a single heal.

During phase 3 with wracks going crazy and breaths taking everyone to 20% it can be easy to lose priorities and just start spamming to top groups because of the buffs. It's imperative that you remember that wracks take priority, there is plenty of time between breaths to top off the raid.

If you are a healer or have the wrack debuff (especially the first or second wracks) and you get an orb on you, make sure you make it known in vent so that there aren't any range issues.

She does not have a parry mechanic like most bosses you attack from in front, so that's smooth also. Maybe she likes the missionary!

Ye its very nice guide for dispellers, but i think we are pushing those timers a bit higher when we are doing 10 man.

I took this from the post i made on our Semper Frateri forums. Just Copy pasted it for ya.

http://forum.semperfrateri.net/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=223

First a small description of the ability : Wrack deals an increasing amount of damage over time and spreads to 2 targets on dispell. The ability lasts approximatly 60 sec. The reason i say approximatly is that wrack can sumtimes be up a little over the timer for it to expire. If left undispelled wrack WILL kill its target and spread upon death. If it is dispelled to vigorously then the raid can easily be overwhelmed.

There are a few addons to assist with wrack , all of which are useful , but above all else u NEED to know the timer on wrack buffs afflicting your raid.

How to dispell wrack : To make wrack manageable , you need to keep dispelling to a minimum. This mean u need to get sum good times to dispell it and the use of CDs.
Personally we use 23 sec / 17 sec / 14 sec / 15 - with 15 being the point u dispell if it reaches that. It normally expires at around 10 - 12 sec.

Why 23 sec : You need to stretch the first wrack as long as u can since there is only one target it means easier healing and CDs will come in handy. On the first wrack apply a CD(Pain Supression , Gaurdian Spirit. You can also use personal CDs like shield wall too , though i tend to not ask for those unless we have no CDs available) at around 15-17 sec. After that the target is likley to die if there is no CD, spam them hard and dispell at 23 sec. Wrack will now split to 2 targets and the damage will start from the beginning again.

Why 17 sec? because its just before the damage becomes unhealable without a cd and it doesnt put them at risk to dying to the flame breath either.

Why 14 sec? At this point there will be 4 wracks up on the raid. That means 4 dispells , so 4-6 seconds including lag that gets added on. That means your last dispell will be a 18-20 wrack. This is very very risky. How we deal with it is have the backup dispeller dispell 1-2 targets(normally only 1).

Why 15 sec? Realistically , if your dispelling is spot on , it won't reach 15. But sumtimes errors do happen and if they do then be ready to dispell the people who reach 14-15 sec on their wrack.

What if i get an orb and i need to run!? What if sumone is out of range!? : Don't panic! The main dispeller should call out if he needs an assist from the backup dispeller. Just keep the timings correct and repeat it till the boss dies!

Ok , well how many wracks do i have to deal with!? : In the first phase you should be getting only 1 wrack. However its not a wipe if u get a 2nd wrack. Calens shield that gives you immunity to Twilight Extinction also gives u immunity to the wrack damage. This means you can stretch the first wrack to approximatly 33-35 sec. and then the following 2 u still do at 17 sec.

In the 3rd phase u should get around 5-6 wracks. Just remember , rinse and repeat.

How do i heal wrack? : Raid healers should go Wrack -> Raid -> Tanks. Keeping wrack targets topped is key , since if u get a flame breath and they arent topped they run a big risk dying.

If there are any questions , feel free to ask and GL on your Sinestra fight!
