MYSELF:

Greetings people of Iron Edge. Me names Matt, I'm 26 years old and recently started playing Wow again, thanks to a mate who convinced me to 'just try it out.' I'm going to be working as a teaching assistant come september, in the school I grew up in - which I'm rather looking forward to as it's a nice and rewarding experience. I'm also an illustrator/graphic designer and am currently working on a portfolio so I can make it big and draw comics for money oh yes indeedy.

I recently moved back from York and now live in Kent, with the retired parents. HOORAY.

I've played guitar for like, 11 years now, drawing all my life. Studied art at university and dabbled in a bit of studio work here n there. I am Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator pro etc.

I'm all about having fun, always up to lend a helping hand, and doing it with a sense of humour. I've known of Iron Edge for a while, and the guys I know in it have always spoken highly of it. I was once in an old Guild called Immortal, so I'm familiar with etiquette, but was never in any end game raids or anything. If i was to be accepted into Iron Edge, then this would be my first, proper Guild; and if I'm honest, I wouldn't want to join any other one.


THE CRAFT:

JUST bought Wow (got a fresh, new account) and I'm levelling a cow pally called Milks, and one or two goblins but not too sure what class. (I'm torn between the sneaky sneaky rogue called Milkybert (yes i like milk)? but since I was a shammy in my previous life I might go the way of the totem. Plus I called him Crustyjugler? which is just about as epic as names come)

Anyway getting back into Wow has been pretty interesting, lots of things I'm familiar with, so much more that I'm not - lots of new things going on. I used to handle myself pretty well in instances.
I must admit that I've never raided, and my experiences of dungeons have only come from 5 man outland instances. If one were to call me a nub, it would be purely down to inexperience, rather than pulling bosses, needing instead of greeding or being a general tit.

As long as I can have fun with some decent humoured people whilst eating a scotch egg, then I'm happy.


GAMES GAMES GAMES:

Yep, played games for years. My first game was Prince of Persia? the first one. Followed by Wolfenstein 3D. I bought the lovely Geforce 9800 GX2 when they first came out and it cost me ?400 but? was worth every penny as I booted up Crysis in my kitchen and did a sex wee.

One fateful day my PC, god rest her soul, died on me - and due to financial situations I decided not to repair her. Instead I got 27" iMac on finance (for art and graphic design etc) and resorted to playing the Playstation 3. It's been years since I enjoyed a nice PC game - and have now succumbed to gaming on the iMac. Not ideal, but it works.

Favourite game? Would have to be Half Life. I would say Tekken 3, but I take those games far too seriously and usually get angry and throw controllers at ?800 American Fender Guitars? to be fair I was drunk when I did that.

Played a lot of Left 4 Dead back on the PC with a ex wow player mate of mine Meeckah. We used to be pretty good at that and thoroughly enjoyed making people Ragequit. Good times. Great game.
