I love the fact that you dont have to build your character from the start, but that you are able to decide your build based on who you are playing with

Indeed, it is a massive plus. Also the fact that you can just change a rune/skill depending on what the coming boss is like. For King Leoric, who's a single dude most of the time, you could just switch Frenzy for Bash, throw on the stun rune, and boom, he's stunned for half the fight. Fighting another boss that has tons of small mobs? Switch to cleave with corpse explosion and rend with damage rune and do huge AoE damage! The list is endless and you can just play around with it as you go and as the situation warrants.

Edit: I do wonder if we will get a hot-swap button for skills/runes though. I think I might end up with three/four "go to" builds tailored for specific situations that I'd like to be able to switch between relatively quickly.

I hope not. I hope they made inferno a bit more like wow, in the sense that you would need class synergies to have a chance.

Well the game is also designed for single player as well remember, plus you can only ever have 4 of the 5 classes in any game.

Btw star, one stupid thing that we didnt realise. There are 6 skill slots available to you on the UI, 2 were locked.

In actuality, if we had turned on 'elective mode' in the gameplay options we could have used whatever skills we wanted in any of the 6 slots. So we could have had frenzy+rend AND cleave+corpse explosion. zomg!

I wonder if we could have used the unruned and the runed zombie dogs and had 6...

You can almost get a healing effect or damage reduction effect with every skill and if not you can atleast get a stun.

You can only have 1 instance of the skill bound. And yeah you can use more than 1 skill per category (primary/secondary/defensive..).

Here Bashiok states that he thinks it will take the player base several weeks after launch to even beat Act 2 of Inferno. I really doubt it will be anything but severely punishing to play this game mode.

Wow, didn't realise this. I agree that it would have been nice to know this for the first ten levels of playing, but I think they all auto-unlock when you get one of each "type" of skills (level 19). I will not be using one of each type in my build I think, so enabling elective mode is something that will happen early for me I think.

For Graxlos, I don't see why you'd take the extra 100 spirit passive, since you'll be spending your spirit continuously and the only benefit from 200 spirit is that you can channel for longer, but even with that, you need to spend longer to fully generate that much spirit. For prolonged combat it doesn't help you in any way? Damage reduction, self-healing, cooldown reduction or damage boosts from spirit generators might be better?
