RL Mafia!

Civilization...2? I guess? Personally Civ 4 is my favorite (much better than Civ 5 imo), like we did a while ago and then we can just punch you if you take too long for a turn.

Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance is a must, for those of you who actually want to play a skillful RTS.

Old WC3 games like Warlock (not sure if there is a SC 2 equivalent), TD's and other goodies are always good fun for LAN.

As Dell mentioned, Armagetron is pure win, especially when it gets early in the morning, and boasts are flying, and reflexes are slipping.

Dare I say Risk? There's a few java written versions that work over a network

Killing floor as well, if any of you haven't played it, its like arena left 4 dead. Requires lots of communication etc. Fun game, played it at the last LAN i held.

or any sort of heroes of might and magic game (preferably 3/5/6)

and dare i say maybe a game of homeworld

oh and i didnt see Nach mentioning boardgames but i do like playing boardgames

or we could completely nerd it up and play some D&D (to be fair i never played it)

a) We don't have that long, so we can't actually play that many games

b) Some of those games are pretty damn long (like Civ, Supreme Commander, Risk, HOMM 3). Again, we don't have much time.

c) It would be fun to do some RL gaming, but again, takes up a lot of time.

DOTA, L4D, Armegatron, BF: Bad Company -- these are good LAN games.

Oh, and you REALLY need to come to the LAN with your games all set up and ready to go. For that reason I would avoid stuff like Age of Empires and stuff.

Looked up tickets online, and the price is fairly cheap. Probably will have to arrange for some things concerning transport, but that shouldn't be too difficult

Did you mean BF: Bad Company specifically dell? A lot of us have bf3 now.

Supreme Commander only takes ages if u turtle like madmen for 3 hours, usually the games only last maybe an hour b4 someone gets miles ahead and smashes everyone else.

Plus you can limit it to like 300 units per person to make sure people don't stockpile giant armies of doom b4 they leave their area.
