Personal Info:

Hi, My name is Hal, a 26 years old software engineering working in the Netherlands. I am looking for a weekend raid group that aims to progress on Mythic.
I also want to apply for another healer spot for my girlfriend. She lives in Canada but wants to raid with me, which is why we want to join a weekend raid group.

I stopped raiding when my previous guild paused activities in 9.1.5. My main back then was a balance druid.
During SL season 4 I returned for a few weeks as a fire mage, which is the character I am applying with.

But for the next expansion, I want to play something else. After testing many specs on beta, I am fixing my eyes on Unholy DK and Demo Warlock(although reworked balance talent tree still look quite interesting to me).

Class/Spec:

I mainly played ranged caster before.
In Castle Nathiria and SoD I played balance druid, maxed out through the patches until I stopped playing. During my return in season 4 I played as a fresh fire mage and got to 296 in three weeks.
Long before that, I played mage during Legion and go CE in nighthold.
I want to play something else in Dragonflight, currently fixing my eyes on demo warlock but unholy DK also looks pretty attractive to me!



Whatever I play, trust only stat sim. For a quick start I would read the talent and rotation guide on WoWhead and get a firm grasp of the classes pretty quickly.
I tested a few classes on Dragonflight beta, with this procedure I can get a pretty good understanding of a spec in a few dungeon runs.

Alts:

I have many many alts. Currently trying to level my Warlock in preparation for Dragonflight.

Professions:

For my raid account, I have Alchemy and Engineering.
Alchemy for double duration flask.
Engienering for many useful tools.

I always use gathering spec at the beginning of expansion, especially skinning, to make enough money for me to survive through a whole expansion.

Raiding Experience:

Legion: played as fire/frost mage
Emerald Nightmare - 7/7M CE; Nighthold - 10/10M CE; ToS - 5/10M, stopped for study reason.

Shadowlands: fresh start on EU, played as balance druid

Previous Guilds:

Ex Oblivione - Ragnaros
They are good people. I want to join a new raid group because their schedule doesn't fit me anymore.
I was more or less unsatisfied with their raid performce, but didn't consider change team for that.

Availability:

I work 9-5 Mon-Fri and my weekend is quite boring. My availability will be great!
In fact, I only skipped three raid nights in my previous guild, one for exam and two for a trip with my GF.

Communication:

Yes, no problem!

Computer / Connection:

I currently have a desktop pc with 3070 + i9700K. Looking to upgrade to 4090+AMD zen4 in a few months.
My connection is perfecly stable.
My GF also played for a long time with no connection issue, ping is about 90 ms.

Addons/UI:

I am an Atrocity UI subscriber, my GF uses the same addon set as me and I help her set up.

Other Games:

FPS! Every major FPS release and I am pretty passionnate about it(probably also quite good;) ). I have 8 computer mice for that reason. They are my gear and I liked to try different feelings.
Currently playing some Overwatch with my GF.
Pre-purchased CoD MWII and refunded because I hate it, likely to pick it up again if it's good after release.

Why Iron Edge?

I looked for weekend raid group and noticed "Iron Edge" on one of the posts in EU WoW forum.
I see Iron Egde has a long history and a competitive yet loving community. I believe it would be a great place to continue my adventure!

What can I offer Iron Edge?

Consistent availability, as I mentioned.

Great performace, I always aim to be in top 15% percentile. A great team would help me achieve higher goals and I can do more in a great team!

Wonderful flexibility: I can play multiple spec with at a great level. I would love to play Unholy DK if the guild needs me to because it has a tank spec and it will ease my M+ journey a lot!
Since my gf will share the adventure with me, I can 100% guarantee a stacked healer character if my dps character needs to opt out or my GF couldn't make it to the raid. I also played a lot of causual healing, here is my logs playing on my GF's Disc priest.
